Sex and Sleep: Secrets to a Sexy Master Bedroom

Sex & Sleep in Marriage

Sex and Sleep.

Can you think of anything better? Men crave it and moms wish they could get just a few more hours of it. Now if we can get on the same page life would be grand. Ahhh…sigh!

Marriage is tough, y’all. The honeymoon ends and reality sets in and before you know it your convos consist of carpooling, little league, ballet, what’s for dinner, and who’s keeping the dog during vacation.

NOT SEXY!

So what to do what to do?

5 Ways to bring sexy (and sleep) back into the bedroom:

  1. Communicate with your Partner – This may seem uncomfortable or even scary for some but it’s vital to a relationship. Open up the dialogue delicately about missing intimacy and wanting to connect with him/her. Keep blame out of the equation and emphasize positives about relationship.
  2. Make your master a no toy zone  (um..kid toys) ASAP! Nothing says adult play time has ended like a sea of pink plastic pieces strewn across your love lair. This will also demonstrate personal boundaries for your children. Once I chose to take my space back and made changes I felt at ease and peaceful in my room.
  3. Set the Mood – Dim the lights and have massage oils by the bed and a diffuser with an aphrodisiac oil like ylang ylang going 20 to 30 minutes before you hit the sack to create a calm and sexy environment in your bedroom. Here’s 4 Ways to Spice it up with Essential Oils
  4. Follow a routine – You may supervise the morning and night routines of your kiddos but fail to have your own. This is important. It tells your mind and body it’s time to settle down. I share some tips for getting a good night’s sleep here: http://www.unprocessedjess.com/5-tips-for-sleep/. Incorporate one thing this week and record how you feel in a journal, notebook, or side bar of your calendar! Once you’ve gotten in your cardio session and ended with an awesome orgasm you both should be sleeping like a baby. Win – Win!
  5. Make Sex and Sleep a Priority – Like most things on your to do list, it’s not going to get done if it isn’t important to you. Sex and sleep are vital to achieving whole health. Fit it into your schedule and then call it a day.

You’re closed to kids, emails, work, other distractions but open for business in the bedroom.

Now go have great SEX and then a good night’s SLEEP!
